Help out an animal in need!
I have dedicated a better part of my  life in trying to the best of my ability to help animals. Ever since I was little I have felt a strange bond with animals. I love them with all my heart! My Mother has always adopted strays and special needs animals. Finally after my boyfriend and I got our own place I immediatly went out and got my own pound puppy.  This is my story:

I was on pet finder and I was intrested in a black pommie on pet finder.  But then after falling in love with her  this dog struck my heart and I dont know why. I felt so bad I had to help her too! a scarred looking abby dog (one of my moms dogs).  So I went to this particular rescues adoption event in frederick. I even got to see  Julie the pom pom. And then I realized that for some reason this dog is not for me. She was already attached to her foster mom. and then I  went over and asked for "Peppy" and they instantly approved me for her. But I was warned.  That she was returned. that she is snappy and hyper and not very loving. I was ready to accept this dog no matter how crazy she was.

My mom and I drove 3 hours into the middle of nowhere in  West VA. to this  backwoods real  tinny animal control center. it was out doors and real sad looking. There was my dog. crazy and hyper. she was so dirty i thought she was grey! She was crazy she did want to run alot  and even nipped at me in the car ride home. But I understood her. I would be that way to if i was dumped on a high way, found as a stray. adopted by an ignorant man, returned 3 days later and then picked up again!

So i took this dirty girl home who almost killed her self  climbing out my window and i thought did i make a mistake? this dog was crazy.  i bathed her and realized shes black!  i played around with names, i wasnt keeping it peppy. debbie, penny, jenny... penny stuck when my boyfriend called her Penny Lane. really i liked it because of the Hanson song penny and me! it was rough and she must  of been abused or something but finally it worked out.  my sign that it was ment to be with penny was that same night. when she   came out of her bed  and came over to me. i was sitting on the floor blogging about her  and she  came over and licked my hand and then went back to her bed.

Since then life with my Penny has been great. My boyfriend  (who isnt into animals much) adores her even if he denies it.  so does my roomies, especially chris who doesnt like dogs much eaither. I enjoy spending all my time with her. even the littlest things like watching her breath  fog up on the car window as we drive.  shes truely my dog, shes follows me everywhere. loves to sleep with me in my arms and  plays with me and humps my legs hehe.

anyway dont shop ADOPT! adopting helps the pet populations and gives animals a second chance at life. the animals know what you have done for them and you can see it in their little faces.
To the left is her PetFinder Picture, and to the right is her after only ONE DAY! Looks like two differnt dogs!

Anyway this page was intended to inform you better on my my project for the winter.  Buying a scarf means your helping a doggie or kitty find a new home! Buy one for your self or a loved one for a holiday gift!
