As a novice sewer, I am letting my Nana take over the production of our clothing items. I [was] a busines major in college So I handle everything on that end.
I wanted to start my own vintage dollfie shop but lacked the skill, I knew my Nana would be perfect for this but she didnt have a dollfie to work with. I decided that I had to get her one after I saw how much she wanted one. Yule came around and it was the last present she opened! and one of my favorite moments in my life! She was so happy! So then after she started producing lovely dresses!
She runs her own Doll Hospital where she salvages, rescures and restores anttique dolls of all types. shes brings new life to dolls that otherwise would of been thrown away. She has 30+ years in repair and creation. She has worked with many well known people.
She has been collecting Fabric and trim and lace for over 40 years and has been dying to find use of them! so trust us when we say that a garment is truely made of vintage clothes! Sewing doll clothing has always been apart of her doll restoration business, but making clothes for dollfies are such a joy for her! tattered old dresses find new life in beautiful re-creations of period gowns!
